Children's needs:
Nothing is harder for a parent to handle than their child's suffering. Allergically, this can start at an early age and include many issues:
- Cradle cap
- Eczema
- Reflux
- Diaper rash
- Hives
- Repeat ear infections
- Chronic respiratory infections
- Colic
- Digestive pain
- Asthma
- Food sensitivities
- Food intolerances
A child's suffering is harder still since many children cannot verbalize what they are experiencing and cannot respond to our questions about their pain. With NAET, the muscle response testing and question response testing that we use (with parent as surrogate) helps us understand determine the allergic cause of a child's difficulty.
NAET is safe for children and corrects their body's response to foods and other items in their environment so they can be comfortable, and you can relax and get back to the tough work of parenting.
Dr. John Crandall saved my son's life!
I brought my daughter to Dr. John Crandall when she was 10 months old and covered with weeping eczema. I had never heard of NAET until her primary physician casually mentioned it to me. He had a colleague that told him that it helped his son and since he was at a loss as to how to help my daughter, he figured why not try it. My daughter not only suffered with severe eczema but also had severe digestive issues and wasn't growing but actually losing weight. I found Dr. Crandall via his website and decided to make an appointment. When Dr. Crandall saw my daughter, he was quite shocked at how bad a condition she was in. After witnessing the first treatment, I was very skeptical. Although I'm a huge believer in alternative medicine, it seemed too simple to be able to help improve my daughter's critical situation. My wife and I didn't return for follow up treatments for nearly a year. During this time, I sought out many different doctors desperately trying to help my daughter. One GI doctor prescribed oral steroids for her and although I didn't want to give them to her, I didn't know what else to do. My wife and I had tried everything 'natural' to help her and nothing was working. The steroids actually cleared up her eczema and helped her to gain weight. We felt we had our lives back but wondered what was the next step. We knew that the steriods were a temporary fix and would damage her health over time, she also looked swollen on them and this adversely affected her appearance. Another GI doctor eventually said that we had to wean her off of the steroids since she was on them way too long. I knew the symptoms would return and finally made a decision to give NAET another try. We decided to resume NAET treatments and we're glad we did. After several treatments, we started lowering her steroid dose. We noticed that her symptoms weren't returning as they did when we attempted to wean her off prior to the NAET treatments. As we continued with the treatments we were eventually able to stop the steroids altogether. Today, she is doing much better and has started pre-school. She is a 'work in progress' and we will continue to see Dr. Crandall as I truly believe that NAET is the 'missing link' in resolving chronic health issues.

NAET was our first exposure to alternative medicine so it took a giant leap of faith to commit to the unfamiliar techniques of oriental medicine. For years, we relied on conventional medicine which could only treat the symptoms of allergies using steroids and other pharmaceutical drugs. Conventional doctors could only advise us to abstain from the allergen in the hope that the children might outgrow it one day. Keeping the children away from milk, nuts, pollen, trees, grass & ragweed was extremely difficult and since exposure to such things is inevitable in everyday life, they were continuously taking steroids and other drugs which was impacting their behavior and quality of life.
When the idea of curing allergies with NAET was introduced to us, we felt compelled to try it and were fortunately placed in the care of Dr. John Crandall. The success of NAET is closely tied to a practitioner's experience with the technique as well as their ability to use knowledge and intuition to solve problems. Dr.Crandall has definitely mastered that ability and as a result, our children are enjoying all foods and playing outdoors in all seasons without taking any medications! NAET is perfect for children because the treatments are short and non-invasive. A typical treatment consists of a light massage along the spine (ie. acupressure) for less than a minute. The children would actually look forward to it and delight in Dr. Crandall's sense of humor. It took approximately 20 treatments to cure our sons' allergies and the cure is life-long! Over 2 years have passed since Dr. Crandall treated our sons and they continue to be allergy free.
Besides acupressure, NAET also uses muscle response testing to determine which allergens are disrupting energy flow in the body. Muscle response testing is a standard tool used in kinesiology to test energy imbalances in the body and is completely non-invasive. After a few visits with Dr.Crandall, my sons would pretend to be kinesiologists and perform muscle response testing on each other! Our faith in NAET and Dr.Crandall has grown so strong over the years that when faced with any ailment, we now choose to visit Dr.Crandall first over a conventional doctor. The idea is that any ailment is due to an imbalance of energy in the body (based on oriental medicine) and NAET can restore the natural flow of energy. This has spared us from antibiotics and other medications frequently prescribed by conventional doctors. More importantly, by restoring energy flow in the body, NAET treatments have put our children in a better place for fighting off such basic ailments as the common cold. My sons' colds often ended in ear infections or bronchitis but now they simply pass within a week with the help of a few homeopathic remedies.
I feel it is imperative for parents considering NAET to read the books "Say Good-Bye To Children's Allergies" and "Say Good-Bye to Illness" written by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad, the creator of NAET. It is also imperative to have "The NAET Guide Book" before starting treatments. These publications are inexpensive and can be purchased on NAET.com as well as Amazon.com.
