F.A.Q. > Questions about NAET > Are needles used?
No. This treatment IS a fantastic use of acupuncture, but does not require the use of needles to be done 100% effectively. The most important part of the NAET treatment is the application of mechanical pressure to acupuncture points on the back, while you are holding the allergen in your hand (in a glass vial). The stabilization and "closing" of your meridian system follows this procedure and can be done by use of laser light stimulation (at my office), vibration, and of course, needle insertion.
The laser light stimulation used in my office is a "cold" laser, Class II, which you will not be able to feel. It looks like a laser used in lecture presentations, but operates at a frequency that specifically stimultes acupuncture meridians.
